It is an amazing thing and a great gift what can be accomplished and made by the means of drawing. While drawing I create ambients rich in atmosphere and shapes. Lines, dots, tones, hatched surfaces.. create a black and white composition. Different textures, tones and shapes can be used to create a whole new world, of course always incomplete and lacking. Inspired and influenced by the old masters such as Durer and Rembrandt as well as contemporary hyperrealists, I create new work.

These drawings were made in the last couple of years, realized in techniques of ink and pencil on paper. Hand work. Small format. These are drawings with different motifs, landscapes, nudes,models and portraits. Mostly thoroughly studied in a classical, hyperrealist manner. The drawings were made using live models, some were done from photos. Shaded, hatched, painted in wash and sometimes clean line drawings. Black and white compositions.
